Making an Impact

I cannot help but get excited about this Saturday? This Kids day is going to rock.

You see I believe that God has arranged for us to make an impact on our community. This past year was all about showing this community that Journey is a place that is real and relevant to their everyday life. This Saturday we are once again backing up the message that we love people. Our hearts desire is that they would see Jesus through us and our actions. We want them to know that Christ is concerned with them right where they are and that they can find him every where they go not just in church.

So many time we tell them to come to us and yet no where in the bible do we see Jesus doing that. He always went to the people, and not only did he speak words of life but he meet their physical needs as well. This Kids Day is about a lot of cotton candy, snow cones, face painting, inflatables and the list goes on. These things can seem trivial in the kingdom mindset yet I believe that Jesus would be at events like these loving on people and proclaiming a message of hope and freedom.

He feed the five thousand because they were hungry, so also he is going to use us this weekend to show the love of Christ to a community in desperate need of a savior. He uses all different methods—- snow cones included. Lets love our community!!!!!!!
