The Things That Make Me Go “Thanks”

I am so thankful to be living in this time and day. There are many challenges and struggles but there are also many rewards. One reward is that I can freely say “thanks”. Thanks for all that God has done and is going to do, thanks for an awesome family and thanks for an awesome church. This past Sunday I challenged everyone to make a list of the things that they are thankful for. If you missed the sermon you can check it out online at www.journeylifeonline.com . God has blessed us all, if you and I would take the time to write down the (specific) things that we are thankful for list would grow longer every day. You see everyday God is giving us things to be thankful for. Here is just a few of the things I am thankful for.

  • I am thankful for God’s grace. God’s grace is sufficient for me
  • My awesome wife Kasha. She is an inspiration to me. She takes great care of me. Not to mention she is gorgeous.
  • My Wives cooking, she is amazing in the kitchen. Note my larger size belly.
  • My Kids
    • Jordyn is my little girl and she is so beautiful and tender hearted.
    • Gabe is my little helper, he has so much energy and is so fun to be around.
    • Josiah is my cuddlier, I love it when he cuddles with me, he is so cute right.
  • My Parents, Hollis and Susan Henley- they are a huge supporter in all ways.
  • My godly grand parents. Their prayers and example are priceless.
  • My inlaws Fred and Linda Nelson. Thanks for raising such a Godly daughter she is incredible. Also thanks for  being such strong supporters of us.
  • Journey Life Church- What a great church to be a part of.
  • Journey Life Staff- I could write all day about them but I won’t. They are a great group who support me and this church greatly.
  • Mount Hope Church- There wisdom and support is priceless.
  • Godly men who challenge me: Perry Noble, Mark Batterson, Craig Groeschel, Dave Williams, Brother Leach.
  • My Laptop.
  • Gods provision. He has always provided for us.
  • Potatoes- I love them in almost all forms.
  • My grandmas apple pie recipe, the best apples pies I have ever had, and praise God my wife can make them. Yum, Yum.
  • I am thankful for a healthy family. No major sickness or disease. Praise God.
  • And the list keeps on going.

Kasha and I want to say “Happy Thanksgiving ” our prayer is that you and your family enjoy your time together. This season is a great time to remember all that God has done for you. Take time to make a list of the things you are thankful for and add to that list when more things come to your mind. Happy Thanksgiving, don’t eat too much. I know I will.
